Personal Profile: A Naval officer with over 100 direct reports by age 20, he went on to play a key role in the start-up that created Yahoo! Mail and continued working with startups in Singapore. Jonathan's bachelor and doctoral degrees in psychology are from Stanford University, and his postdoctoral training was at Harvard University; he was stationed at Harvard business School. He has been a coach since 2004. Jonathan is a third-generation Singaporean. Experienced in diversity issues, he was raised in Singapore and has lived for at least 6 years in France, the United Kingdom, and also the United States. He is very interested in blending Eastern and Western systems of psychology to facilitate high performance in teams and individuals.

Company Profile: Having been a coach since 2004, Jonathan created Marshall Consulting in 2013. His clients include international corporations (e.g., Microsoft, and Proctor & Gamble), government ministries (e.g. Singapore and Bhutan), professional athletes (e.g. mixed martial arts), and politicians. He supervises and coaches executive masters students at INSEAD business School and he is on the faculties of both the National University of Singapore and the Singapore Management University where he teaches pragmatic leadership skills to mid-career graduate students. He won commendations for teaching excellence in both of the last two years he was on full-time faculty at the National University of Singapore.
